The mastaba of Ankhmahor is situated right next door
to the mastaba of Kagemni. The tomb was excavated by Victor Loret in 1899.
Ankhmahor held the titles of vizier, 'First after the King', Overseer of the
great house. This tomb is also known as the Tomb of the Physician, the bas-reliefs
depict a foot operation and a circumcision in addition to the usual scenes
of daily life. The photos here show the entranced and the serdab, the soul
entrance, a false door which the soul passes.
